Privacy Policy

AgentRank ("the App") helps Shopify merchants monitor and improve their store's visibility in AI shopping assistants. This policy describes what data the App collects, why, and how it is handled.

The data controller is Jaume Casamitjana Masllorens (Spain), reachable at ddfae.apps@gmail.com.

1. Data we collect from your store

• Store information: store name, myshopify domain, primary domain, contact email, currency and locale — used to identify your store and detect mentions of it in AI assistant answers.
• Product data: titles, descriptions, tags, SEO fields, image alt text metadata, variant metadata (barcode/weight presence) and metafield counts — used to audit agent-readability and generate optimization suggestions.
• Storefront traffic metadata: via a Shopify Web Pixel, the referrer and landing URL of the first page view of a session — used solely to classify the visit source (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, search engines, direct). We do not collect customer names, emails, addresses, order contents or payment data, and we do not track individual shoppers across sessions.

2. Data we do not collect

The App never reads or stores customer personal information (PII), orders, or payment details. The web pixel is configured as analytics-only, with marketing and data-sale flags disabled.

3. AI subprocessors

To compute your AI Visibility Score and generate content suggestions, the App sends product catalog summaries and synthetic (artificial) shopping queries to AI providers: OpenAI, and — when enabled — Perplexity, Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude). No customer data is ever included in these requests.

4. Landing page leads

If you submit your email on our public landing page, we store it so we can contact you about the App. We keep it until you ask us to delete it, and you can request deletion at any time at the support address below. It is never sold or shared with third parties.

5. Data retention & deletion

All store data is deleted automatically when you uninstall the App (triggered by Shopify's app/uninstalled and shop/redact webhooks). GDPR data-request and customer-redact webhooks are acknowledged; since the App stores no customer PII, there is nothing to return or redact for individual customers.

6. Security

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database, encrypted in transit (TLS). Access tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser.
